Shipping and Returns

Order Tracking

Deliveries with a goods value of over 10 Euros are sent with tracking. Shipments with a goods value below 10 Euros are sent as a standard letter without tracking. As a non-German customer, you can usually also use these tracking numbers to track the shipment with your national postal provider, such as USPS in the USA or Royal Mail in the UK.

Processing Time + Shipping Time

The processing time is the time it takes to get the order ready for shipping and to bring it to the post office. The current processing times are stated as "Ready to ship in xx business days" in the product description. Processing times may vary depending on the season and demand and are updated daily. The processing time begins on the day of payment.

The shipping time is the time the shipping service provider (Post / DHL, express service provider) needs to deliver the package to your front door or PO Box address after acceptance.

 During normal operations, the following shipping times apply:

  • Germany: 1-2 business days
  • Europe: 2-4 business days
  • Outside Europe / Overseas: 4-6 business days

Larger shipments are sent as DHL packages.

  • Germany: 1-2 business days
  • Europe: 3-5 business days
  • Outside Europe / Overseas: 5-7 business days

We also offer worldwide express shipping
incl. extra-fast processing, even on weekends:

  • Australia and New Zealand: 2-3 days
  • All other destinations: 1-2 days 

Please note that delays beyond our control can generally occur. These can include customs clearance, pandemics, natural disasters, strikes, and other adverse circumstances.

If the order contains one or more individualized items, or if it is a bulk order of, for example, more than 10 meters of ribbons, the processing time may increase by 1 additional week or more. Should a later delivery occur, we will inform you immediately.

Multiple items ordered at the same time will be delivered in a single shipment; the processing time of the item with the longest processing time applies to the combined shipment.

Returns

You have a 14-day right of return on complete, sealed rolls of satin or velvet ribbon from our shop assortment.

The following types of items cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances:

  • Goods sold by the meter / yard
  • Custom-made products
  • Cut-to-size items
  • Personalized orders

This includes all products from the categories:

  • Satin Ribbon
  • Velvet Ribbon
  • Bow Ribbon
  • Velvet Belt

In the product descriptions available to you before purchase, the exclusion of exchange for goods sold by the meter is pointed out multiple times. If you nevertheless return products unsolicited, neither the purchase price nor the shipping costs will be refunded.

For the presentation of the products in the online shop, photos of the ribbons are professionally created in a photo studio under neutral lighting conditions. However, since every screen displays colors slightly differently, you were offered the option to have color samples sent to you before purchasing. If you chose not to receive the sample shipment, Seegang Berlin is not liable if the shade does not exactly match your expectations.

In the rare event that an incorrect product was delivered to you by mistake, please let us know. In this case, a refund is of course possible.

The return of products must be initiated and carried out by you.

  1. Inform us of your return request within 5 days of receiving the goods via the online Withdrawal Form or by email to weft[at]seegang.berlin.
  2. Pack the goods carefully in the original packaging, or in equal quality, to avoid damage on the way back. Damaged goods will not be refunded.
  3. Download the Withdrawal Form as a PDF and fill it out. Place the completed and signed Withdrawal Form inside the package. This enables us to match the shipment to your order.
  4. Please return the goods within a period of 14 days. The first day of the period is the day you received the product, and the last day is the day you handed the package over to the post office with proof of posting.

The shipping costs you paid when ordering will be refunded to you along with the purchase price if all criteria mentioned here have been met. However, you bear the costs of the return shipping. A pre-paid return label is not included in our shipments.
