A. Cancellation Policy

Introduction

Consumers are entitled to a right of cancellation in accordance with the following provisions, whereby a consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that can predominantly be attributed neither to their commercial nor their independent professional activity:

Right of Cancellation

You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, have taken or has taken possession of the last goods.

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform us (Jennifer Becker, Seegang Berlin, Schillerstr. 16, 17033 Neubrandenburg, Germany, Tel.: O1741872296, E-mail: werft[at]seegang.berlin) of your decision to cancel this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form for this purpose, but it is not mandatory.

You can also exercise your right of cancellation online on the website at the internet address https://seegang.berlin/pages/widerrufsformular. If you use this online function, an acknowledgment of receipt containing information on the content of the cancellation declaration as well as the date and time of its receipt will be sent to you immediately on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail).

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication concerning the exercise of the right of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.

Effects of Cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation of this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exclusion or Premature Expiration of the Right of Cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual choice or determination by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.

At Seegang Berlin, this applies to all products in the following categories:

• Satin ribbon (sold by the meter)
• Velvet ribbon (sold by the meter)
• Bow ribbon (cut to size)
• Velvet belt (cut to size)

General Information

1) Please avoid damage and contamination of the goods. Please return the goods to us in their original packaging with all accessories and all packaging components. If necessary, use protective outer packaging. If you no longer possess the original packaging, please ensure adequate protection against transport damage by using suitable packaging.
2) Please do not return the goods to us freight collect.
3) Please note that the aforementioned points 1-2 are not a prerequisite for the effective exercise of the right of cancellation.
